Accelerate 2014 marked Lebanon’s first international startup conference, initiated by Banque du Liban to position Beirut as a rising hub in the global innovation economy. Under the theme Blueprints for Success, the conference brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders from over 25 countries, igniting conversations around entrepreneurship, resilience, and the future of tech in the region.
The visual identity and branding system for Accelerate 2014 was conceived as a dynamic and contemporary language that captured the energy of a country in motion—building, reimagining, and connecting. The branding extended across digital and print platforms, creating a unified experience from screen to space.
The entire venue—indoors and out—was transformed through a comprehensive environmental graphics system. Wayfinding elements and spatial signage were developed to intuitively guide visitors through the multi-zoned conference space, while clearly distinguishing thematic areas and keynote platforms. The visual design drew inspiration from architectural blueprints and the fluctuating patterns of stock market graphs—rises, dips, and spikes—visually echoing the volatile yet ambitious nature of startup growth. This approach reflected both the constructive ethos of entrepreneurship and the economic aspirations driving the event.
From bold stage backdrops to delicate print materials, each design element contributed to a cohesive and future-forward atmosphere—one that amplified the international spirit of exchange and entrepreneurship at the heart of Accelerate 2014.
