I developed this data storytelling project during an exceptionally turbulent time in Lebanon, where the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded against the backdrop of deep political and economic crisis.
I created two bilingual infographics to explore how Lebanese citizens accessed information and responded to public health measures during the early stages of the pandemic. Drawing from published articles, reports, and behavioral studies, the first infographic analyzes perception patterns and trends to identify key drivers behind public compliance and misinformation in Lebanon’s fragmented media landscape. The second infographic situates these insights within the country’s broader crisis response context, where public trust in institutions is fragile and behaviors are shaped by more than just health concerns.
Both infographics were designed in English and Arabic, supported by a bilingual social media campaign tailored for Instagram. My approach balanced clarity and approachability, turning complex data into accessible visual narratives. I led the research synthesis, data interpretation, visual design, and campaign rollout.
This project sits at the intersection of information design and public health, offering a design-led approach to help better understand communication gaps and behavioral trends during a time of national upheaval.
