Sunday Afternoon in Your Street (2015)

Sunday Afternoon in Your Street” is a site-specific street art installation situated in a convivial neighborhood of Beirut, where accessible green spaces per capita are significantly below standard norms, and shared public spaces are notably absent. This project redefines the everyday experience of passersby by introducing elements of surprise and serendipity through attention-grabbing, naturally evolving public art. It aims to encourage community engagement with public spaces and specifically seeks to revive the neighborhood's only unused and empty house. Furthermore, the installation examines the role of the artist in public spaces and explores the limitations and boundaries of traditional street art.
